Ampol will acquire Evie Networks for $225 million, creating a national EV charging network of about 1,425 bays at 400 sites.
Ampol has agreed to buy Evie Networks outright for $225 million. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first half of 2027.
The acquisition combines Evie's more than 1,030 charging bays with Ampol's existing AmpCharge network. The combined network will have roughly 1,425 bays at more than 400 locations across every state and territory.
Ampol CEO and managing director Matt Halliday said Evie is a highly complementary business that expands the petrol giant's charging scale and reach. The company expects the restructured charging business to break even in its first full year, 2028.
