Man charged after woman attacked in Sydney park
A 27-year-old man was charged after a woman was sexually assaulted in Airey Park, Homebush, on September 18.
A 23-year-old woman was walking from Flemington Station through the park about 11:15pm when an unknown man stopped her. The woman was restrained and dragged into nearby bushland, where the man allegedly assaulted her.
Police executed a search warrant in Padstow on Thursday morning and arrested a 27-year-old man. Items were seized for forensic testing.
He was scheduled to face Bankstown Local Court on Friday.
