Show bags are flying off the shelves at Perth Royal Show. Winnie the Pooh, Stitch and Highland Cow bags sold out in just two days.
Toy-themed collections, especially viral squishy bags and dinosaur sets, have overtaken traditional lolly bags as the most popular choice. The brand new $40 Squishy Things bag never arrived due to shipping delays caused by typhoons in Taiwan that forced port closures.
WA Show Bags director Jeremy Sims said the delays also affected Singapore transfers and fuel costs. Missing a few bags out of 80-plus was relatively normal for international freight, he said.
Stitch bags will be restocked when new shipments land. Winnie the Pooh supplies are unlikely to return.
