Australian Simon Peter Carman admits hiding Thai teen's body, denies murder

Carman, 45, faces four charges, including murder, over the death of a 17-year-old girl in Thailand.

Australian Simon Peter Carman, 45, has pleaded guilty to concealing a 17-year-old girl's body in Thailand. Authorities charged Carman with four offences, including murder and concealing a corpse.

Carman first pleaded not guilty to all charges, but on Monday admitted concealing the body. Carman is accused of killing Tunchanok Donhomla, 17, in Thailand in June.

The teen's body was found inside a suitcase, dumped near railway tracks outside Pattaya. Carman claims the teen put a knife to his neck, so he had to defend himself.

The teen's aunt, Miruntree Thanachai, says the family wants him to face the harshest possible punishment. The trial is expected to run for several months.
