Launceston banks on young Devils to spark grand final push
Young Talent League players returning from Devils duty performed among Launceston's best in the preliminary final.
Launceston heads into Saturday's grand final against South Launceston with momentum from a 40-point preliminary final win. The Blues got a boost from returning junior players Jess Bula, Tyane Thomas and Harrison Millwood.
All three featured among the team's best players on the day. Fellow Devils youngster Rudi Schoenmaker and Noah Hedger also played strong games.
Captain Brodie Palfreyman said the young players are fully invested in the senior program. They attend training and matches whenever possible.
Coach Jake Hinds singled out their impact as crucial to the win. The club lost to Longford in the final round and the Bulldogs in the first week of finals before bouncing back.
