11-year-old shot in Norwest dies after days in hospital
Suffering gunshot wounds to his face and neck, he died after three days on life support.
An 11-year-old boy was shot inside a Norwest apartment complex on Monday around 5pm. The boy was shot in the face and neck and rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The boy remained on life support for three days and died on Thursday. Five other people in the apartment were not hurt.
Three men aged 18 were arrested, with one charged with concealing a serious indictable offence. The other two were released pending police inquiries.
The boy's family said the shooting was nothing more than a tragic accident. Police are still searching for the gun used.
