Third person charged in Joshua MacDonald shooting death
A 21-year-old was charged with murder for helping the gunman escape before Joshua MacDonald was shot on September 2.
Tradie Joshua MacDonald, 40, was shot dead in his driveway in Merrylands West on September 2. Police believe it was a case of mistaken identity.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man following a raid on a home in Pemulwuy on Thursday. Detectives say he helped the gunman by driving him to and from vehicles before the shooting.
He also drove people who destroyed those vehicles after the shooting. The 21-year-old was charged with murder.
He was also charged with participating in a criminal group and contributing to criminal activity. He was charged with failing to comply with a digital evidence access order.
An 18-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were already facing charges over MacDonald's death. The 21-year-old appeared in Parramatta Local Court.
He was refused bail.
