Patriot Resources finds rich silver deposits near Peru project
First-pass sampling at Elvira found surface rock with up to 27.7 grams per tonne of silver.
Patriot Resources has hit strong silver and metal signals in first surface sampling at Elvira. The site is just two kilometres northeast of its existing 31.4 million-ounce silver-equivalent Tassa resource in southern Peru.
Initial work across the Elvira sector identified a 120-metre-long mineralised zone. The best rock sample returned 27.7 grams per tonne of silver.
It also held 3000 parts per million lead and 2550 parts per million arsenic. The company sampled 38 rock chips across 65 hectares.
The results confirm a new silver and base metal anomaly well beyond the current resource limits. Management believes the opaline silica at surface suggests the richest ore could lie below.
A weathering-resistant cap may protect it. Patriot will now map the two-kilometre corridor between Elvira and the main Tassa zone.
They want to understand if the two areas are connected. They are awaiting drill permits.

Why it mattersA new discovery on the same project could add another major resource to Patriot's portfolio. It could also extend its mining life in one of the world's richest silver jurisdictions.
AustraliaPatriot is ASX-listed; a major new resource could boost the share price and develop exploration upside for Australian investors in the company.
