St Andrew's Hospital in Adelaide is telling patients their data was stolen. The stolen data included full names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, birth dates, Medicare card numbers, and healthcare identifiers.
The hospital hired forensic experts to investigate. It told the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
The hospital is working with government agencies to add security measures and look for suspicious activity. Premier Peter Malinauskas said authorities will check if any South Australian laws were broken.
He also raised concerns about cyber threats to all organisations.
