Teen remains critical a week after Victoria Park car crash
A 16-year-old passenger remains in critical condition after a car crashed into a tree in Victoria Park a week ago.
A 16-year-old passenger from Alfredton was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital. A car crashed into a tree near Poplar and Plane avenues on 7 September about 9pm.
The 16-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition. The 18-year-old driver was also taken to hospital.
He had injuries to his upper and lower body that were not life-threatening. He is in stable condition.
Police from the Ballarat highway patrol are investigating the crash. The family and wider community are waiting for updates on the teenager's recovery.
