Harcourt rallies with free tanks and grants after bushfire devastation
Harcourt is receiving free water tanks, a $25,000 sports grant, and access to Uber as recovery speeds up.
A bushfire in January destroyed over 50 homes in Harcourt, Victoria. More than nine months later, the town is getting real support.
In September, 17 water tanks were installed at properties at no cost. Volunteers from across Victoria, NSW and South Australia gave their time.
The Harcourt Football Netball Club received a $25,000 grant from insurer Vero for facility repairs and upgrades. In October, Uber launched rideshare services in the region, giving locals a new way to get around.
Community leaders say these moves show genuine commitment to helping Harcourt move forward.
