Everton faces Coventry in first meeting in 25 years
Everton hosts Coventry on Friday seeking a third straight win despite losing Jack Grealish to suspension.
Everton and Coventry City meet for the first time since 2001 when the Toffees host the Sky Blues on Friday at home. The match comes after Everton won two games in a row against Newcastle United, in both the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
Jack Grealish remains unavailable after suspension for breaking club rules. Without Grealish, younger players have filled the gap.
Striker Thierno Barry scored in both recent wins and now has eight goals for the season. Winger Tyrique George got the winning assist at Newcastle on Monday, where 19-year-old midfielder Harrison Armstrong was also key.
Coventry has improved sharply after starting badly, winning three of their last five matches including a 3-1 win over Sunderland. Coventry's attack has been very accurate, scoring nine goals from an expected goals total of just 4.12 over that five-match run.
