Logan Martin trades premiership club for Ovens and Murray challenge
Logan Martin, 26, moves from Yackandandah to Wodonga Raiders for 2027 after delaying the shift a year.
Martin spent four years at Yackandandah and played a key role in their 2024 premiership. Martin had put off stepping up to the higher Ovens and Murray competition, staying on after his son arrived.
Now he is ready. The chance to face the league's best forwards, including Guy Telford and Kaine Parsons, was the primary draw.
Playing alongside cousin Joe Murphy, who joined the Raiders under-18s, sweetened it. Martin believes new coach Kade Klemke and the club's direction will help him develop.
He knows his fitness needs work to handle the O&M pace but is keen to evolve as a defender.
