Bootstrapped meal startup Délidoor hits $14 million revenue and profit
Délidoor reached around $14 million in revenue. They raised less than $1 million from outside sources. And they became profitable.
Délidoor's co-founders are Jacques Lépron and Mathieu Thomas. The Sydney-based premium meal business has grown fast.
The business went from about 25,000 meals a month in 2023 to about 70,000 today. The company now delivers across almost all of Australia from a new Frenchs Forest facility.
That facility can make 280,000 meals monthly, up from about 60,000. They focused hard on product quality and keeping customers.
They did this before scaling quickly. Lépron said keeping core functions in-house helped them stay ahead.
Other work was outsourced. The business stayed disciplined about money.
They waited until the product worked and was profitable. Only then did they open new markets.
