Longmuir guides Fremantle to second Grand Final in club history
Justin Longmuir has guided Fremantle to their second-ever Grand Final and first away preliminary final win.
Justin Longmuir has steered Fremantle through doubt and scrutiny to reach the club's second Grand Final berth. The 45-year-old coach faced heavy criticism through missed finals in 2023 and 2024, and again after a qualifying final loss to Hawthorn in September.
Longmuir kept the team focused on its ultimate goal. Fremantle won an away preliminary final for the first time in their history.
Longmuir now has the chance to become the Dockers' first ever premiership coach. Club president Chris Sutherland praised his calmness under pressure and his ability to keep the whole club united.
