Bunnings WA fires up sausage sizzles for Telethon today
Bunnings stores across Western Australia are running sausage sizzles from 8am to 4pm today, with all proceeds going to Telethon.
Every Bunnings store in Western Australia opened its barbecues this morning to raise money for Telethon, WA's biggest charity giving weekend. The sausage sizzles run from 8am to 4pm, with all funds going to support children living with illness, disability and disadvantage.
Last year's sausage sizzle raised $102,000, and Bunnings is hoping to beat that record. On most weekends, Bunnings hands the tongs to community groups to fundraise for their own causes.
Today, staff are running the barbecues to support the statewide charity. Telethon kicks off tonight with 26 hours of live entertainment broadcast on Channel 7.
