Emma Memma visits Down Syndrome WA families, singing and connection before

Former Wiggle Emma Memma visited Down Syndrome WA on Friday, singing classics with children and parents before the annual Telethon fundraiser.

Children's entertainer Emma Memma led families in songs like The Wheels on the Bus, complete with hand gestures and Auslan signing. Parents said the visit brought genuine joy and connection, children singing together formed bonds across the group.

Five-year-old Theo planted himself on Emma's lap the moment she arrived. Theo's mother Claire said it filled their cup watching him light up.

Amanda Bright watched her daughter Taya beam with overwhelming happiness. After a rough couple of months, the simplicity of a happy day was deeply refreshing.

Emma Memma said meeting children like these stays with you and strengthens your resolve to keep going. She emphasized how special it is to see funds raised at Telethon turn into real community support.

Each child left with an individual photo and memories that will last beyond the weekend.
