Mosman Park drafts its first homelessness support policy

The policy defines homelessness in three types. One is rough sleeping.
Another is temporary shelter hopping, like couch surfing. The third is living in poor housing such as caravan parks.
Council staff said the town has limited direct power. But it can push for help and work with local outreach groups.
They will respond with compassion, collaboration and respect. The draft focuses on Aboriginal people, women and children, young people, and those facing chronic homelessness.
It bans tactics like high-frequency noise devices meant to drive people away. Staff will work to connect people to services before asking them to leave.
