Man re-jailed after breaching court order to contact vulnerable young woman

Patrick Jenkins, 33, was sentenced to four months in jail on September 14 for breaching a court order. Almost immediately after release, he contacted a vulnerable young woman via Facebook Messenger, phone calls, and a $1 bank transfer.
The woman became concerned and called police. Jenkins had been jailed in March for similar breaches.
Police described his conduct as the equivalent of grooming. He will continue an 18-month community corrections order.
