Tom Pelphrey wins Emmy for best supporting actor in 'Task'
The actor took out the Emmy for best supporting actor in a drama series, beating five other nominees including Billy Crudup and Jack Lowden.
Pelphrey played Robbie Prendergrast in HBO's Task Season 1. In his speech, he thanked his family, friends, sobriety and co-stars.
Pelphrey singled out Mark Ruffalo, calling him beautiful and saying he was proud of their friendship. He told his fiancée, Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory: "My love, my best friend, my partner, the very pregnant Kaley, I love you more than anything, and our family is the crown jewel of my life."
He dedicated the win to daughter Matilda and their unborn daughter. Pelphrey beat Patrick Ball, Shawn Hatosy and Gerran Howell from The Pitt, Billy Crudup from The Morning Show, Jack Lowden from Slow Horses, and Carlos-Manuel Vesga from Pluribus.
