Another crash hospitalises two at Albury's notorious intersection
Two people were taken to hospital after a Mazda and ute collided at Borella Road and Keene Street on Tuesday.
A black Mazda 3 and grey Volkswagen Amarok crashed at the intersection about 5.10pm. Both airbags deployed.
The male Mazda driver and a woman from the ute were treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with conscious-level, non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection, part of the Riverina Highway, is well known for crashes.
One nearby resident told The Border Mail she witnesses "an accident a week" at the site. The NSW government proposed traffic lights for the stretch in August after the council and mayor Kevin Mack acknowledged safety issues.
