50-person search enters second day for man with intellectual disability
28-year-old missing since Monday evening; usually found within hours, but remains absent longer than ever before.
Daniel Trenchard-Harry disappeared from his Hamilton Valley home on Monday around 6.30pm wearing blue boardshorts and a shirt. More than 50 people including police, volunteers, helicopters, dogs and horses are searching rocky bushland near Nail Can Hill.
Trenchard-Harry has an intellectual disability and a pattern of leaving home unannounced, but police say he has never been gone this long. Acting Inspector Troy Martin said the man likes fishing and appears to be on foot without shoes.
The property backs onto bushland. Police have travelled from Sydney to help, and there is no indication of foul play.
