Victoria has repaired the pothole linked to a motorcyclist's death on the Western Highway.
Victoria has repaired the pothole linked to Peter "Tiki" Mason's fatal crash on the Western Highway near Ballarat. Mason, 71, struck the road defect while riding with a friend.
Premier Ben Carroll confirmed the repair but could not say how many of the state's 500,000 planned fixes have been done since announcing $352 million in funding last month. Police are determining what caused the crash.
An audit found almost half of Victoria's roads are in poor condition. Between June 2024 and June 2026, 7,405 potholes opened on roads from Moorabool to the South Australian border.
All but 10 were repaired by the survey.
