Three arrested in stolen Maserati with ammo, petrol, sledgehammer

Three men arrested after police found ammunition, petrol, sledgehammer and bleach in a stolen Maserati at 1.50am in Parramatta.

Officers from Cumberland Police spotted a grey Maserati on Lansdowne Street in Parramatta about 1.50am on Wednesday. The car carried false number plates and had reportedly been stolen from Ashfield in August.

Police pulled out the three men, aged 28, 26 and 24, and found a bag of ammunition, a jerry can of petrol, a sledgehammer and a spray bottle of bleach inside. All three were arrested at the scene.

The 28-year-old was charged with contributing to criminal activity as part of a criminal group, along with driving without a licence and using false plates. The other two were charged with riding in a stolen vehicle and group criminal activity.

All three were refused bail.
