Three men found guilty of murdering Australian brothers in Mexico
Three men were convicted of murdering Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson during a 2024 surfing trip.
Jake, 31, was a doctor. Callum, 32, was a professional lacrosse player.
The brothers disappeared in late April 2024 while camping at a remote surf spot in Baja California. Jesus Gerardo, also known as El Kekas, Irineo Francisco, and Angel Jesus were convicted of aggravated homicide, aggravated robbery, violent robbery, and violent vehicle theft.
The court heard the victims begged for mercy before being shot. Their bodies, along with that of a local farmer, were found days later in a well.
Jake was due to start work as a doctor in Geelong when he returned home. Callum was living in San Diego at the time.
