Grayland's final-quarter goal sends Koroit to grand final
Teenager Jett Grayland kicked the winning goal in a tight preliminary final to send Koroit through to the grand final.
Koroit's Jett Grayland composed himself in the dying moments and kicked the winning goal to beat Terang Mortlake 91 to 86 in the Hampden League preliminary final. Grayland's goal was the fourth lead change of a frantic final quarter.
Grayland said he focused on bouncing the ball after being called for running too far earlier in the season, then kicked it home. Koroit is now through to its ninth grand final in 11 years.
They will face North Warrnambool Eagles, who beat them in last year's decider. Dobson was strong for Koroit with six goals, while Terang Mortlake's Will Kain kicked four.
