The Games will attract spending across transport, airports and utilities. Brisbane Airport alone is planning a $5 billion expansion, including a new terminal.
It is forecasting 40 per cent more passengers by 2032. Projects include upgraded rail links to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
They also include bus fleet improvements and the Games precinct at Victoria Park. The report surveyed 150 senior executives globally and found comprehensive project management is critical on fixed timelines.
