Thousands celebrate at Perth Telethon Family Festival
Thousands gathered at Perth's Telethon Family Festival on Sunday. They enjoyed free rides, performances, and carnival games. All money supported child health charities.
Wellington Street in Perth's CBD was full of families enjoying the 2026 Telethon Family Festival, presented by Coles. The Lotterywest Kids Carnival had nearly a dozen rides.
These included teacups, the Dream Swinger and Runaway Train. There were sideshow games, face painting, a petting zoo and live karaoke.
Inside the main arena, West Australians ran 24-hour fundraisers. These included a bounce-a-thon and treadmill walk.
One parent said her children had gotten help from Telethon services. She called the day a chance to help sick children in hospital.
The festival had roving performers, guest celebrities and activities by groups that get Telethon support.
