Two killed, one critical after collision on Western Highway
Two people died and another was fighting for life after a car hit a truck and third vehicle on Victoria's Western Highway.
The crash happened around 6:45pm near Mount Drummond Road at Ledcourt. A car hit the side of a truck, then hit a third car.
Two people in that car were killed; their names are being kept secret pending formal identification. Four others were hurt, including a young girl in serious condition and three with minor injuries.
The truck driver was safe and stayed at the scene. Police are looking into whether tiredness, not paying attention, or speed caused the crash.
Roads reopened after overnight closures while detectives gathered evidence.
