Wollongong Olympic chase historic treble despite losing home to fire
Wollongong Olympic are two wins from completing the treble despite fire displacing them in April.
A fire tore through the North Wollongong PCYC in April 2026, forcing the club from their home ground early in the season. Since then the club has played at four different venues, including Elizabeth Park and JJ Kelly Park.
They have moved around to play their fixtures. Despite the disruption, they have already won the Bert Bampton Cup and the Premier League 1 minor premiership.
On Saturday they play Albion Park White Eagles at Terry Reserve. A win sends them straight to the grand final.
One more victory would complete the treble. Club president Greg Haritos said it has been the hardest year the club has faced.
The fire destroyed valuables. Repeated break-ins have stolen trophies and equipment.
