Daylesford's four childhood mates seek shared flag dream
Scout Kinnear, Hayden Jenkin, Matt Hunt and Adam Leonard line up for Daylesford's flag push Saturday.
Four friends who started at Auskick together are about to play in their first CHFL grand final. Scout Kinnear, Hayden Jenkin and Matt Hunt are getting their first senior flag chance.
Adam Leonard had his first shot last year in a losing grand final. All four tasted disappointment in the under-18s when they played together on 2024's biggest day.
Matt Hunt moved to Melbourne but came back to play for Daylesford because the club and these mates mattered more. On Saturday at Mars Stadium they face Dunnstown for the Chepstowe Hills Football League's biggest prize.
Hunt said the group bonded over pre-season runs and late-night footy talk. The four have played multiple finals together and want to finish what they started.
