Woman indicted on attempted murder charges over Rihanna shooting
A Florida woman has been indicted on 14 felony counts including attempted murder for allegedly shooting at Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's home.
A woman from Florida has been indicted by a grand jury after allegedly firing a rifle at the home of singer Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky. Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a speech pathologist from Orlando, is accused of driving across the United States.
She fired at least 20 rounds from an AR-15 rifle at the property on 8 March. Bullets struck an Airstream trailer where the couple was inside.
They also hit the wall of a second-floor nursery where their three children and a nanny were present. No one was injured.
Ortiz faces 14 counts including attempted murder, assault, and shooting at an occupied dwelling. She was deemed mentally competent to stand trial by a judge after months of psychiatric evaluation.
She could face life in prison if convicted of all charges. Prosecutors have not disclosed a motive or any connection between Ortiz and the couple.
