Five arrested following shooting near Geraldton
Five people have been arrested after a 32-year-old man was shot in the leg near Geraldton in Western Australia.
A man, 32, was shot in the leg on a rural road near Geraldton about 1am on Wednesday. The man was taken to Geraldton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police launched a nine-hour manhunt across the area. Tactical Response Group officers flown in from Perth then swooped on a property in Moonyoonooka, where they arrested five people.
Police believe at least three people were involved in the shooting. The firearm used has not yet been found, and officers brought in police dogs to search the property and surrounding area.
No charges have been laid at this stage. Police said there is no wider risk to the community.
