Man refused bail after threatening people with gun barrels in mouths

Graeme Andrew Harris faces multiple charges including placing gun barrels in victims' mouths while making threats.

A Wodonga man has been refused bail after a court heard of violent incidents involving illegal homemade firearms. Graeme Andrew Harris allegedly attended a Wodonga home on May 6, where he fell asleep with a gun barrel pointed at a woman and a dog.

When asked to remove it, he said it was fine. Moments later, he allegedly put the gun between his legs and it fired, shooting his inner left thigh.

Police found him wounded and recovered a homemade shotgun. Prosecutors say Harris also threatened at least two other men by placing gun barrels in their mouths, forcing one to sign over his car and another to hand over money.

The court heard Harris had a fixation with guns.
