Overcooked pigeon sends Jane and Shane out of My Kitchen Rules
Jane and Shane finished with a score of 50, well behind Alisha and Deanne's 68.
On Monday night, Jane and Shane's fine-dining menu fell apart on My Kitchen Rules. The NSW team were praised for their plating, but their pigeon main course was badly overcooked and dry.
Jane then said 'The pigeon is mummified' and went to her room, feeling like a failure. A last-minute pressure cooker rescue failed, so the pair served the bird as it was.
Guest teams gave Jane and Shane just 20 out of 50, and the judges added 30 out of 60. Alisha and Deanne, from South Australia, had been expected to go home first.
Instead, Alisha and Deanne finished on 68, well ahead of Jane and Shane on 50. Alisha said she could not feel sorry for Jane and was 'just laughing inside'.
