Two arrested after Jeep reverses into police car in Alfredton
A 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested. A Jeep with fake license plates rammed a police car in Alfredton.
Early Wednesday morning, police on patrol spotted a Jeep Cherokee with fake license plates at a service station on Learmonth Street. When they parked behind it, the driver reversed into the police car and fled.
Officers chased the Jeep through Snake Valley, Cardigan and Redan. The Air Wing helped them track it.
They arrested the driver in Golden Point at about 5pm. Police said the Jeep was driven recklessly and too fast.
A 33-year-old woman from Black Hill was a passenger in the Jeep. She was also arrested.
The man was charged with two counts of recklessly putting a police officer at risk. He also faces charges for dangerous driving, reckless conduct that endangered life, driving without a license, using fake registration plates, and selling methamphetamine.
