Former federal staffers will explain Victoria's state election in Warrnambool

Two ex-federal government staffers will host a public forum in Warrnambool on October 22 to explain how Victoria's state election works.

Bindi Gove, a former chief of staff for a federal Labor resources minister, and Sean Sammon, who worked in the Rudd-Gillard government, will explain election mechanics at the Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool.

The event runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on October 22. Gove and Sammon said energy, tourism, roads, crime and cost of living will shape the south-west's voting as the November 28 election approaches.

The organisers aim to help busy voters make informed decisions, not push a political message.
