Illawarra business owner loses licence over high-range drink-drive
Driver recorded 0.160 on breath test, three times the legal limit.
Dimitios Papadopoulos, a 48-year-old business owner, was pulled over in Fairy Meadow at 11pm on August 15. Police said he smelt of alcohol and his car was unregistered.
Papadopoulos's breath test showed 0.160, three times the legal 0.05 limit. At Wollongong Local Court he pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.
He was fined $1100 and banned from driving for six months.
