Thai food truck launches in Warrnambool with free home delivery

Small Streats, co-owned by Anucha Sudsalee who worked in Italian and Thai restaurants for five years, opens Monday with free weeknight delivery and market plans.

Anucha Sudsalee and Brett Johnston are launching Small Streats, a Thai and south-east Asian street-food truck, in Warrnambool on Monday, October 12. Sudsalee spent five years as a chef in Melbourne restaurants before moving to Warrnambool, where he has worked in Thai venues.

The pair researched current trends across south-east Asia for five weeks to build their menu. Small Streats is offering free delivery on weeknight orders and will trade at markets and festivals on weekends.

The first public outing will be at Mortlake Markets on October 18. Johnston, an engineer for 26 years, said the food truck lets him ease toward retirement while introducing regional Victorians to tastes usually found in bigger cities.
