Pierce Brosnan dismisses Tom Hardy MobLand reports as 'storm in a teacup'

Brosnan and Mirren rejected reports Hardy refused to leave his trailer for hours, saying the row was overblown.

Pierce Brosnan says he learned of the MobLand tension reports from his son while on vacation and reached out to Hardy immediately. "I think we're all blindsided by it, really," Brosnan told The Hollywood Reporter.

"I love you, mate. I love you."

Helen Mirren defended Hardy on Instagram in May and doubled down this week. "False rumors just should be knocked on the head ASAP," she said.

Earlier reports claimed Hardy made cast and crew wait for hours while he remained in his trailer during the show's second season. The Hollywood Reporter did not report Hardy was being fired, though a source said his future on the series was in limbo.

Both actors pushed back on the characterization, with Mirren noting it is unfair to blame actors for rumours.
