Theatre community grieves Canberra woman killed on Monaro Highway
Jane Faulder, 60, died after being struck by a vehicle on the Monaro Highway on 25 September.
Jane Faulder, a 60-year-old performer and volunteer, was hit by a car about one kilometre south of Bredbo on Friday evening at about 6:30 pm. Paramedics treated her at the scene, but she could not be saved.
The driver, a 54-year-old man, was uninjured. Faulder had been a core figure in Canberra's theatre and calisthenics communities for over 50 years.
Friends described her as hardworking, vibrant and someone who lifted others up. The Deanne Calisthenics Club and Queanbeyan Players theatre group both paid tribute to her warmth and dedication.
