Rain delays sale of major Queensland sheep station
A major south-west Queensland pastoral property sale closes November 30 after recent rain made inspections impractical.
The 40,198-hectare Boanbirra Aggregation near Bollon can hold about 30,000 sheep. Three distinct properties make up the estate of noted pastoralist Sinclair Hill, who passed away in 2025.
Recent rain fell on October 17 and 18, with more forecast. The rain made inspecting the property difficult.
The sales agents extended the deadline to November 30. Buyers will consider buying it as one property or in separate lots.
The land has brigalow, mulga, and alluvial plains with improved buffel grass. It has multiple residences, a shearing shed, machinery storage, and cattle yards.
There are 140 header tanks and 160 troughs fed from a bore. JLL Agribusiness and Devine Rural are managing the sale.
