Driver will face court after blowing almost six times legal limit in North Manly crash
A 31-year-old man was arrested in North Manly after crashing into a parked BMW while almost five times over the legal drink-drive limit.
The crash occurred around 11pm on Monday on Oatway Parade when the man's vehicle hit a BMW. Police pulled him from the Mazda and conducted a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned 0.297, compared to the legal limit of 0.05.
A second test at Manly Police Station recorded 0.28. Officers found a wad of cash and an empty whiskey bottle in the car.
The man denied he had been driving and asked police why he was being arrested. His licence was suspended and he will face court at a later date.
