Anthony Wint stops Lucas Armand in 23 seconds at UFC 332
Former New York Jets linebacker Wint knocked out previously undefeated Armand by TKO just 23 seconds into their heavyweight bout.
Anthony Wint brought his unbeaten record to UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on Saturday needing a finish. He got exactly that.
Wint stepped into the octagon against Lucas Armand, who had never lost a fight, and unleashed a barrage of punches in the opening seconds. A left hook dropped Armand.
One more right hand from Wint and the referee halted the fight 23 seconds into the first round. The size gap was striking: Wint stood 5-11 and weighed 236 pounds, while Armand was 6-2 1/2 at 263 pounds.
Yet Wint easily dispatched him. Armand's record fell to 6-1.
Wint improved to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in the UFC. After his win, Wint called out Sean Sharaf in a post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.
