Talbott takes shot at second straight ex-champ at UFC 332
Payton Talbott fights Deiveson Figueiredo in the UFC 332 co-main event after defeating Henry Cejudo in December.
The 28-year-old American has called out two former champions in a row. After knocking off Cejudo last December, Talbott gets Figueiredo this weekend in Salt Lake City.
At Friday's press conference, the rising prospect predicted he would outstrike Figueiredo and turn him into a wrestler. When the pair faced off afterward, the former champ shoved him.
Talbott said he could get whoever the UFC puts in front of him. Bookies have him as a heavy favourite, but he's not taking Figueiredo lightly.
The ex-champion is durable and experienced on the ground, two things Talbott said demand respect. Talbott plans to bring a refined version of his game: high pace and relentless pressure.
