Devils part ways with inaugural VFL captain Robbie Fox
The 33-year-old won't be offered a contract for 2027 as the club prioritises youth development ahead of AFL entry.
Robbie Fox, who led Tasmania's Devils in their first VFL year, will not return for 2027. The club told the 33-year-old on Tuesday he won't be offered a fresh contract.
The decision factors in the club's focus on building younger talent before joining the AFL and AFLW in 2028. Behaviour standards were also part of the discussion, the club said.
Fox played 13 games for the Devils this season, mostly in defence. His best was 32 disposals and 10 marks against his old club Sydney.
He spent eight years at the Swans before joining Tasmania, playing 105 games there.
