Fremantle Dockers lose Wharfie Time for grand final
The AFL blocked Fremantle's Wharfie Time from Saturday's grand final to preserve neutral ground.
Fremantle's famous in-game activation will not be allowed during Saturday's grand final against Brisbane. The AFL said club-aligned themes must not appear because the game counts as neutral for both teams.
Wharfie Time flashes an AC/DC intro on the big screen and has become an iconic rare moment at Fremantle home games. The Dockers have used it twice this season, including in the final minute of their semi-final win over Geelong.
Both teams will still be permitted to play songs after goals, meaning Brisbane's Charlie Cameron can run out his trademark 'Take Me Home, Country Road' if he kicks goals.
