Molloy leads tight AFLW goalkicking race heading into final round
Chloe Molloy leads the AFLW goal-kicking race with 24 goals, just one clear of McDonagh heading into the final round.
Sydney's Molloy tops the leaderboard heading into the final round, just one goal ahead of Hawthorn's Aine McDonagh (23) and two clear of North Melbourne's Tahlia Randall (22). Geelong's Jackie Parry (21) and Chloe Scheer (20) remain in contention.
Molloy took control with a season-high five goals against West Coast on Sunday, and also kicked her 100th AFLW career goal. All five leading contenders can break the competition record of 25 goals set by Indy Tahau last year: Molloy needs just one more.
None of the five have won the award before. Molloy faces Fremantle's tough defence in the final round, while McDonagh tackles West Coast and Randall faces Richmond's worst-ranked defence.
