Coleambally votes to switch football leagues for 2027
Coleambally voted to join the Picola and District Football and Netball League for the 2027 season.
Coleambally has formally voted in favour of joining the Picola and District Football and Netball League for the 2027 season. On October 8, 85 votes were cast with a clear majority supporting the move.
The club now plays seniors in the Farrer League on Saturdays and juniors in the South West Juniors competition on Sundays. The Picola League model runs all football and netball on the same day at the same venue, a significant appeal for the community.
The move will also reduce travel costs and affiliation fees. The club must present its case to Picola clubs later in October for final approval.
