Police failed to protect woman before ex-partner killed her
Molly Ticehurst reported her former partner to police 16 days before he broke into her home and killed her.
Molly Ticehurst, 28, told her mother during a dinner in April 2024 that she feared for her life. Less than two hours after that evening ended, her former partner Daniel Billings broke through a bedroom window and stabbed her multiple times.
Daniel Billings was gone in 59 seconds. Molly had reported Billings to police the same day she ended their 18-month relationship.
Her friends had warned her about his emotional manipulation and controlling behaviour. After she ended things, he bombarded her with messages.
